Proposed Trades

Electrician

The ITI Electrician trade is a 2-year NCVT-approved vocational program focusing on installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical machinery, wiring, and household appliances.

It is an Engineering trade (NSQF Level 5) that provides comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, covering both practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Fitter

The ITI Fitter trade is a 2-year mechanical course (NCVT-approved) that trains students to assemble, install, and maintain machinery and metal parts.

Focused on practical skills like fitting, pipe fitting, and structural fabrication, it qualifies students for technical roles, with 10th-grade completion as the primary eligibility requirement.

Solar Technician

The ITI Solar Technician (Electrical) trade is a 1-year (1600 hours) program teaching installation, repair, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, panels, batteries, and charge controllers.

It covers both electrical basics and renewable energy applications, leading to a NTC certification.

Computer Operator & Programming Assistant

The ITI Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) trade is a 1-year, NSQF Level-3.5 vocational course focused on basic computer operations, office automation, web design, and programming fundamentals. It offers a National Trade Certificate (NTC) enabling careers as computer operators, data entry operators, or web designers in private/government sectors.

I.T.I.s impart Vocational Training in various Engineering and Non- Engineering Trades under Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) to produce skilled manpower required for industries.
